Two trawlermen I know are fed up with being used. They just want to get on with it. They were used for PR during the campaign and used as pawns at the final negotiations where specific fish and shellfish were traded by those who have never set foot on a boat. They’re overall glad we’re out but not expecting anything much in return...the biggest worry is losing seasonal EU staff.
I'd love to agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong....

Out of interest KPB, what makes them glad to be out, what’s the upside for them? I think we need to here more from people directly benefitting from Brexit.

I don’t know exactly apart from the fact they’ve always seen the CFP their biggest problem....

If you want it as it stands today ....watch the edition of Countryfile tests on tonight. Seems that the advertising pawn of the debate was sacrificed at the 12 hour in the negotiations but they’ve only found out six weeks later.
