Precious McKenzie - 4 commonwealth gold for England and 1 for New Zealand.
A world record that possibly still stands 42 years later.

The claim that only Americans watch the NFL is ignorant - the superbowl is one of the most watched events globally. The NFL now play 3 games a year in the UK and all sell out pretty much immediately. Week in - week out, the global audience for american football is staggering. Whilst I love it - I've never really understood why it's so popular.

Re Lebron - he is certainly one of the greatest, but pretty much everyone who follows bball knows Jordan is the greatest. The exception is perhaps the younger generation who didn't see Jordan play.

Bradman incredible stats far and above any others.

Michael Phelps absolutely incredible dominance for a massive period of time in one sport with so many different disciplines.

Mo Farah incredible to win gold in two long distance events so close to each other.

So many others but these are the 3 that stand out for me

Have a google for Margaret Court and then tell me if her actions off-court warrant any kind of idolatry.. no thanks.

Shame, because she achieved so much on the court..
Hopefully, this text should be smaller and less prominent than the words above it...

Brady competes in a domestic sport, not on an international level.

Hes the goat in a game played at the very top level in one country.

He's incredible at his sport, but even in the context of football, he comes nowhere near to Maradona , Pele, Messi, Cruyff, Best, and Ronaldo as a global sporting great.
