Dixon did the Exeter/Scarlets game which felt like a struggle due to lack of parity in the scrum. At least 2 penalty tries given. Dull game

He awarded a hat trick of penalty tries to Exeter last week in their AWC game V Scarlets.

I may regret this at 10pm Friday but thought he had a solid match.

The penalty tries were correct I think. And overall, it may have been made easier by the gap in standard between a vastly understength Scarlets team and the Chiefs but none the less.....

IMO, I thought he was largely inconspicuous (except where he seemed to monitor the no. 9s especially....ironic that...)

I think a change will need to be made from what is written above. Very sad news I've just seen on Twitter.

The refereeing and rugby family sends its thoughts and prayers to Michelle and the family and friends of Steve "Snapper" Savage, former RFU National Panel Referee Manager and Premiership referee, who passed away today. Big character, even bigger heart. Sleep soundly "Snapper".
