I was one of many thousands in Marseille who had forked out to watch Wales in a world cup quarter final and instead saw Fiji play the Boks.

Game of the proverbial two halves so far with France and Argentina. Not quite sure how France have not had a yellow card with '2 final warnings' within 5 minutes!

Fascinating game...Argie defensive line continuously offside....wish I’d cashed out on the French win at half time.

Some interesting non-calls made so far. Both in the opening match and the Fiji game it could be strongly argued that there should have been red cards.
Also some generally poor and inconsistent reffing at key points.
But the quality of rugby has been pretty good so far.

It's gone up a few levels now in the NZ v SA match.

ABs were very good but I thought they got most of the 50/50 calls from Garces. Be interesting to see how many votings come from the first 4 games (don’t think their will be any in the AB/SA game).

I thought Garces was poor. Clear yellow card against the SA defender under the posts at 3-0 and in my opinion a penalty try. I don’t think NZ got better of 50/50 calls at all. I know that seems to be a common perspective but in this case it didn’t appear that way to me
