Didn’t some on here offer ‘player power’ as the reason for JA’s departure? I recall hearing that horrible phrase ‘lost the changing room’.

Like some others, I watched a rerun of the 2008 Glaws v Bath 8-6 thriller yesterday. The only 2 playing that day who still are were Banners, 21 at the time, and the Harlequins fullback. Am I close?

Sorry DT, the recording I watched showed frequent cuts to the other games being played at the same time, so many of the other teams' players were shown during the programme.
Ken you are right, Nick A was playing but injured on that day I think

Dwilly, I couldn't begin to think ;) ......except I have a first hand story about one suspect I'll share with you next time we meet up, he's from the same era but not a fullback.

I agree about the 'lost the dressing room' expression.....it's up there with 'for the badge;...but senior player power certainly exists. There's an excellent film on the BT Sports app called 'Too Good to go Down' and player power behind the back of the incumbent coaching team.....its about Man Utd relegation to Div 2 in the 70s.
I'd love to agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong....

Denis has always made it quite clear, it was Kenny Burns' goal v Norwich that sent them down...United were doomed irrespective of the result at Old Trafford.... ;)

Just read this on BBC Rugby;

Doesn't look like Gustard's getting the job?

...and Danny Care has just signed a contract extension - coincidence I'm sure! I wonder who might be next?
