My guess is they will be delighted to know they are EJ thoughts and have the potential opportunity to show what they can do.

I'm sure they don't. A few injuries away from a big payday.

But when these names are above Spencer, Simmonds S, Simmonds J, Sinckler, T Hill, etc. etc. you've got to wonder what selection is based on.

Sinckler is banned. Find it strange Spencer doesn’t make it but not really the others.

Vunipola does a lot more than run in try’s, Ford and Farrell work well together, Hill is very good but we have so much strength in the 2nd row.

With Thorley I wonder if it's Anthony Allen all over again?

I hope not, he’ll be off to Leicester soon.

Just hope he gets back to form and starts playing to his strengths again.

Hard to argue with much on thst squad. EJ is clearly looking at everyone thus some of the bolters listed. the message is - play well and you'll get noticed. Well done those new boys and those in the shadow squad. This 6 N's is the obvious chance to try out some of the younger new boys and that seems to be what he is doing.

No one seriously expected Thorley to be in squad did they. Think we might see Randall get a cap v Italy.

Why do the Welsh think they have an expectation for Randall..... In the Eng U20 shirt he was awesome...sorry hands off ...he’s ours :D
I'd love to agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong....

Capped by Wales before England at u16s, lived in Wales for 10 years I believe. Pretty much his choice. He's been fantastic this season, well deserved.

Overall, thats a very strong squad , particularly when you look at the calibre of the players that didn't make it.

Even with Jonny May and LRZ away, I'm not sure that Thorley gets a start. Been on terrible form of late - against Quins he looked a hundred miles from the player of previous seasons.

I think Thorley starts as long as he's fit. Best thing he can do is get his head down with us and find some form, without making excuses for him he's been training with England then back to Gloucester, it can't be easy for continuity.
