Glaws V La Rochelle OGT

02 Apr 2021 06:06 am:

Having recovered from the Shedwebadmin all-time super prank :D :D it's back to some serious business today !.

Really excited about this one. Not going to be easy, but I keep telling myself how close we've run against some very good sides this season. La Rochelle appear to be a team who travel better ( perhaps ) than most French sides at the moment and will be arriving at CG pretty confident; but..... we can win this .

Teams-head to head.

Maybe misplaced but I’m quite optimistic about tonight’s game.

Mainly based on premise we’re looking a more settled side, younger players developing nicely plus stardust of internationals coming back.

Really looking forward to it, c’mon glaws!

I think the pace of delivery from 9 and CH in the centres will make the difference for us.

God I want to be at Kingsholm!

Morning Tufty - did you over sleep ? :D .

I agree to your point; and it will be interesting to see how Heinz responds today and looks to control the game. Chapman was superb off the bench last week. I am interested in the upfront antics tonight and in particular the back row battle. That could be a great spectacle. I'm wondering if Freddie Clarke will start the second half at 8 and Ruan switch to 6 ?. Jordi has gone well for much of the season and will need to be very sharp tonight. I'm hoping someone in the backrow will have a stormer and hopefully tilt the balance.

 :D I think my entire season’s OGT-starting winning magic dust was all used up last week against Exeter! Better let the more experienced Magician’s wave the wand for the knock-out games! :D

If you’re struggling to wait until 8pm, you might want to rewatch this one to get yourself in the mood. Group stage game at Kingsholm (a Thursday I think) against tonight’s opponents, in the same season as THAT semi final. Cracking performance this one.

ROG interviewed by Midi-Olympique is looking to go the whole way. He says that le Stade are not “outsiders”, which is curiously, the French word for underdog. Let’s hope they underestimate us.

RTS2 I am fairly sure La Rochelle have beaten us twice. Once at Kingsholm and once in France.
