European Saturday

03 Apr 2021 08:20 am:

I think our lads can hold their heads high this morning after flying the Prem flag, how will our fellow English teams fair? Wasps are in a serious rut, can't see anything other than a comfortable Clermont win. Exeter v Lyon is a very interesting game, but expect Exeter to just nick it. Don't know enough about Bordeaux so hoping they give Bristol a good game and Sale v Scarlets could be interesting, especially if Sale are as indisciplined as last week. Cracking day ahead, my Easter weekend jobs are revolving around Munster v Toulouse though :o

Wasps ahead 20-14 at halftime. Several times Wasps could have scored tries but missed out. I enjoy watching Wasps back play their scrum half looks promising.

Ashton’s reward for his 6 match ban, a channel 4 pundit appearance. Wonderful.

A try in the 83rd min wins it for Clermont. Wasps were unlucky not to win that.

Wasps 25 - Clermont 27 - Clermont scored a Try in the 83 min. Another match where a team have come back into the match and won right at the end.

The top French teams clearly can play open rugby, but they have such powerful ball carriers that allow them to do so. Beef up the pack, dynamic big ball carriers needed.

As a Wasp that loss will hurt, but with our performances this year I thought we were heading for a hiding today, so really proud of our lads, pride in the badge, club and shirt all over the field today.
