But honestly, how many clubs have predominantly one colour? These Clubs existed before the Premiership (maybe not Newcastle) so why recommend it.

I remember a game against Pests at Loftus Road we arrived in our away kit of mostly dark blue (Unipart days?) and they turned up in their home black kit. Ref was none too happy. After 20 minutes game was stopped after someone who had been sent to Sudbury arrived with Pests away kit of yellow and black hoops.
Glaws trying to get advantage or balls up. Whatever we still lost.

I'd say about half of clubs do. If anything the rule isn't really doing what it's supposed to do considering a preponderance of clubs seem to choose black as there first choice.

Exeter - black
London Irish - green
Newcastle - black
Sale - dark blue
Saracens - black
Wasp - black
Worcester - dark blue

The answer to all this is simple…. Cherry and White for home games -
White and Cherry for away …

Rather shows what a commercial con the " away strip " racket is. The shame is that years ago almost all these clubs had far more distictive and differing kits. Anyway that is progress !!!!

Of course I'm biased but ours is by far the best of the bunch.

Joking apart, predominantly white with perhaps thin cherry lines (hoops) would work.

For me Glaws, Bath & Quins strips the best and most distinctive and keeping with their traditional style.
