Didn't know he was in the property business? ;)

Odd one. On the one hand am not keen on helping out an opposing team however if this signals where Joe is in the pecking order then it would seem to be churlish to stop him getting an opportunity which could lead to a permanent move.

And if the rumour about his salary being rather large is true he would be a good one to get off of the books.

Other than some breakaway tries he hasn’t really added much.

Why are we helping the cheats?

Meehan first choice then.

The irony is, he was quickly given an extended deal based on scoring a bucket load of tries early in his glos career. A decision that has proved costly in more ways than one.

So we have just Meehan, Chapman and Varney ( who is still academy ). I guess the is view is to trust youth over experience.

That's a bit of a surprise. Have to assume he will return once Varney heads off for international duty, otherwise we will be light at 9.

You'd have to assume that Varney is an academy player in name only as he is also an international rugby player?

Don't academy players not count towards the salary cap or is it that they don't need to be named in the euro squad but can still be selected?

I like Simpson and would like to think he still has a lot to offer. The fact that he's at Saracens speaks volumes.

However, with no relegation this season I wonder if we're going to be looking to build a squad for the future if relegation does come back. It will mean more patience required as youngsters get Premiership exposure but then in a couple of seasons they'll be more battle hardened for the Premiership.

This is one of the dangers of no relegation in that we use this season to develop a squad and results aren't important given no relegation.
