Exeter Chiefs sponsor troubles?

23 Sep 2021 08:55 am:

An interesting article in a City AM regarding the lack of a shirt sponsor for Exeter when they should be milking their position as one of the top clubs in Europe...

https://www.cityam.com/exeter-chief-pro ... n-sponsor/

Can only assume this is why Tony Rowe decided to post this statement:

https://www.exeterchiefs.co.uk/news/clu ... ptember-22

Funny that he’s exited SWComms and they no longer sponsor Chiefs. Exeter have always been lauded for being the only club (or one of few) to turn a profit in many seasons gone by. Was the sponsorship making the P&L look more rosy?

Must be annoying for fans too, to know that there will be a new sponsor from Saturday, if they have bought new shirts pre-season.

Tony Rowe is well known for not bowing to pressure and it will be interesting to see who the new shirt sponsor is and how they will handle or address the 'Chiefs' branding issue which has got to one of the first questions.
I'd love to agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong....

They have a new sponsor.

Suspect mischief-making (combined with some jealousy). Mitsubishi replaced by Big Dug ?? ;)
Nothing wrong with free speech or having an opinion - as long as it matches mine !!

DT...they are amazing. I've been to the one on the Quayside in Newcastle... a meat eating experience.

Never been to one, better than Boisdale, or Hawksmoor out of interest?

It's the back of the shirt that gets me..

It's just wrong to charge that much for a shirt. I wonder what the mark up is.
