We finished 11/12 last season and people are suggesting we cut the staff costs to pay for discounts on tickets? As I posted before the price drops wont work from a revenue perspective. Have a winning team and the extra 2-3,000 will turn up.

If the ticket office is still short of bodies and Marketing is bereft of ideas then why not engage with the 2 local universities, Gloucestershire and Hartpury? The club could sponsor an assignment for students on sports/marketing courses to do research into/come up with proposals to address the attendance issue. In addition they could provide some real world work experience places for a few. Still Realistic said he wasn't contacted when he stopped being a STH, one element of the research for a placement student could be to contact the lapsers and do an analysis of the reasons/come up with proposals. Universities are crying out for such collaboration and the kudos of working with a PL rugby club would be a real asset on a student's CV.

There is a very good Business School at Glos Uni and the Growth Hub is reckoned to be about one of the best in the Country. The Glos management are already in contact, great suggestion Lucifer, but already happening.

Just noticed on LinkedIn that the club has appointed Katy Homewood as a Marketing executive (from Gloucester University) specifically to focus on the younger fan base.

Good move by the club

Judging by some of the posters on here it wouldn't go amiss to focus on some of the older fan base as well!

Good to see the club significantly reducing prices for the Euros and PCR
