Freddie Clarke

On press notes duty this week so think he deserves his own thread. This feels like a big season for him. I think he's been superb so far, and in his notes he says he is now taking responsibility for the lineout. With the success of our maul, sounds like he is a massive part of that so congrats Freddie. Keep it up!

Freddie was clear that although he's doing his bit, and is enjoying calling the line-out, he sees himself as a back rower.

His open play is definitely back row like, but if like say Lawes or Mostert he can slot into the second row it just adds to his value. PS du Toit started at lock too. He's in good company.
