Nope nor me.

A world class hooker or prop maybe but we’ve got 4 good level prem players there, plus an international level hooker. A Marx or Coles would be great but do we NEED them...not really.

The positions I thought we NEEEDED were a top rate back up 9 who can compete...tick.

And a 13 who can challenge for a starting spot and ideally cover wing....tick.

Great recruitment if you ask me.

I believe we are still lacking a bit of pace in the backline.

Aren't we a bit short in the second row now Savage has gone to Japan? (Excuse the pun)

3 senior second rows doesn't seem enough particularly when one of those seemed to be out of favour for the second half of last season. The pack didn't look nearly as good when Clarke or Ackerman were shifted into the row, I'm sure they can both do a job but neither are a specialist and will come unstuck against the better sides.

No idea who is available, what room is left in the cap, or if someone from the academy can successfully step up, but I'd be more confident if we had at least one more lock.

I think we will be fine in the second row department. I don’t think anyone is complaining about GG getting more game time and we have Alex Craig who looks strong and ready.

I certainly won't be complaining about GG getting game time, he was fantastic at the start of last season. Just have a slight concern that if Ackers is reluctant to use him again then Slater and Mostert will be done in by mid-season.

Hopefully Alex Craig is ready, but Academy/A-league to Prem is a big step up and it's another jump to Heineken cup. Saying that our young front row players acquitted themselves well last year so I should have more faith in the system!!

On the basis that I expect Franco Mostert to be heavily involved in the RWC latter stages ....I'd be surprised if he's available for Gloucester before the HC first round matches mid November....what is the rest period after their RWC return 3-4 weeks?

I fear the same KPB, and one of our most influential players too.

Most other clubs will be without more of their 'influential players' than Gloucs though for roughly the same periods of time.

Hopefully Kruis, Launchbury, Itoje, Lawes etc...won't be coming home too early either :D

I agree that we're light in the second row. If there was a way to have kept Savage, then I think we should've done so.

Every season, we tend to find 1 or 2 positions that are lacking a bit of SiD / quality. If we get an injury or 2, it really impacts our ability to compete. Last season it was centres and hooker. Next season, I think it'll be second row.

My main concern is to do with the injury dispensation fund, as I think we've used a chunk of it to sign Harris as a replacement for Trinder. If we lose Slater or GG early on, we might not have the funds to sign a replacement.
