Simmo468, the way we’ve been playing if it weren’t for Sarries’ demise we would be serious contenders for the drop.
No new signings means an uphill struggle next season.

So are we convinced that signings are finished?

The $64,000 question. I wish the Club would tell us.

Yes. There may be some current Academy moved-up to the Senior Squad BUT none coming in from elsewhere (excepting possibly 1 Saffa journeyman).

This, in tight fiscal times and foreseeable future, is good BUT it does mean that the output of our squad will have to rise. That means onus on individual players and coaches to create a greater sum of our parts.

I bet the Hartpury players cant wait to see him line up against them!

I did like the bit in the bbc article where he says the club have looked after him and his family

It'll be a bit like the internationals that play for Munster et al. They'll give them a warm up just before the internationals and that's all they will do all season
I'd love to agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong....

Hopefully, the recipe for a successful club. Certainly the opposite would be true for any club that is not able to fill their squad with galacticos.

On the latest House of Rugby Pod Mike Tindall said that of rugby doesn’t resume this season then he expects at least one club will go bust, possibly 2.

I wonder who he has in mind? My thoughts are in no particular order:

Wasps
Irish
Worcester
Sarries
Gloucester

Gloucester is far less indebted than the other 3 clubs you mentioned.

There’s 4 others, I wonder who Tindall was referring to.

I doubt it’s us but we’re not exactly in a great position financially and have burden of having to build a training facility.
