Big Red unavailable as far as I know will be:
Olivier, Mills, Heathcote, Arr, Schonert, Spencer, Barry, Denton, Mama, Potgeiter - all definite first 23.
Stelling Dowsett, Baldwin, Kerrod, Kirwin - squad.
There is a possibility the Pennel may be fit but he is yet to have any game time this season.
Added to that he have Hougaard away with SA.
In that list are:
4 Backs/midfield
3 scrum halves ( we now have our second 9 in on loan)
2 props ( we are down to our last four fit props)
2 locks
4 loose forwards.
We have a squad of 44 so with 15 out one may think that 29 should still be sufficient, but it is the positions and even more importantly the quality that is killing us. I would also say that in having Wasps, Exeter and Sarries at home in the first five games we have had the toughest of AP starts.
Nevertheless , no excuses injures happen we will do our best.

I'd be amazed if he starts.

Yes those first 5 fixtures are not much fun. Glos away is probably the most winable !!!! I suspect most teams won't have got much change from those 5 games.

This must be the worst season ever for so many blokes crocked so early at every club.
Players not getting enough recovery time, too many games in general perhaps?

This should be a 5 point win, it needs to be, but it has the feeling of a potential banana skin.

Really hoping we start Ruskin and Vellacot/Brayley/Randall. Think their speed of ball could be what we need to get the game moving and avoid a dog fight.
