If he can be half as good as Schalk Brits or BdP I'd be delighted.

By all accounts should prove a useful addition but in another sense could merely be seen as replacing one of our stand-out performers (Hibbard) over the last few years ......although I'd accept in combination with Hanson it will represent a strong unit in the hooker berth as starter and finisher (in whatever order). So a good start to our new batch of signings but I'm hoping for even more quality if we are aiming to improve the squad overall.

Sounds fine to me!

Welcome to the Cherry and Whites Franco!

Seems like he's got a good attitude reading that.

“I came to Durban to try and fulfil my dream of playing for the Sharks. I did everything I could to become the best hooker I could be,” he says.

“Every day I threw 100 balls at the tyres we have as targets at the Academy, and I had a notebook in which I recorded what I had done in training each day.”

Interesting that he mentions Andy Keast (formerly of this parish) as the biggest influence on his career.

Me too... but in defence of 'Big Batch' did his rant cause Gloucester to announce a signing? Who knows but the announcement did come a day later and as I said before, Gloucester Rugby do monitor this site. The only sure way to know is if his mates can come up with any more inside info next Tuesday. If another announcement is made, then we know Big Batch's mate is the missing link?
