Although I know the Jack Bruce version, I wasn't familiar with the Colosseum version of Rope Ladder. If anyone is in the same boat try https://youtu.be/us1UthAqEQY

Which has got me thinking about a new thread with favourite music videos.....

I've not picked my all time top 8 Music tracks but an 8 that would help being stranded on a small island with a couple of Hundred Shedwebbers: In no particular order with added videos, re the music video thread.

1. Low Rider: War. ( My no 1 ): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJ_LCy89Nt8

2. Strawberry Letter 23: The Brothers Johnson. ( 23 is never mentioned ). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0bdLdTJdKI

3. I love to Boogie: T-Rex. ( Class ). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL-eI3AdOIg

4. See me Fight: Two Steps from Hell. ( Who? Youtube 2SFH & you'll recognise a lot from Films, TV series, Sarries entrance music etc . Epic style music ). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzzbi6Wev9A

5. September: EWF. ( One of many I could have chosen from EWF. When Bands had a full backing percussion crew rather than a keyboard or sampling ). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gs069dndIYk

6. End of the Line: Travelling Wilburys. ( The original Supergroup? ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMVjToYOjbM

7. Flashlight: Parliament. ( I could have picked One Nation Under a Groove by Funkadelic which comprised the same members as Parliament but played more mainstream.Funk is my go to music not the "disco" version most people think is Funk :) ) That's a thread in its own right. Cheating a bit: Funkadelic first, long version I'm afraid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgrvOR77T2o : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0ZGNGBNIL8

8. Say Something: A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera. ( Nothing to say really ). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2U0Ivkn2Ds

Book: Gates of Fire bySteven Pressfield or Spartan by Valerio Massimo Manfredi: It's the same "story" about the Battle of Thermopylae.

Check out Angels and Devils by Echo and the Bunnymen. Fantastic track recorded when they were at the height of their powers. Cant believe their is no Radiohead, Blur, Arcade Fire must be a generational thing.

Radioshed,
Thanks for that one, not a band I know much about - some good live versions of it too on youtube.

Gates of fire is a cracking book. I’d go for:

Half the world away-Oasis
Can’t you hear me knocking-rolling stones
Cocaine-Eric Clapton
Charming man-the smiths
Caravan of love-housemartins
Charmless man-blur
Bet that you look good in the dance floor-artic monkeys
Money for nothing-Dire straits
(I like the sound of an electric guitar!)

Book-love bill bryson, but would probably go for sci-fi like dune or starship troopers

Luxury item would be a fishing rod-never tried it but for some reason always wanted to. A desert island seems the ideal place to start!

Greetings from The Mothership DT. My choice to get a hundred shipwrecked Shedwebbers groovin' would have been this version of Red Hot Mama. If the costumes had washed ashore so much the better (make sure you get past the still section).
