Very late to the party - but here goes:
Positively Fourth Street - Bob Dylan (at his viciously paranoid best)
Jamaica say you will - the Byrds (great Jackson Browne song)
Hold tight - Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Titch (local connection, Dave Dee was a police cadet in Swindon)
Light Flight - Pentangle (Take Three Girls, anybody?)
God only knows - Beach Boys
A heart needs a home - Richard and Linda Thompson
Tam Lin - Fairport Convention
Senses working overtime - XTC (local connection again)
Book - Down and Out in Paris and London - George Orwell
Luxury - a record player to go with my vinyl collection
Keeper - A heart needs a home
Overner - someone who has lived on the Isle of Wight for more than 20 years. Less than a Caulkhead, more than a Grockle.

Arriving fashionably late to the party...

...I kinda went through this exercise fairly recently, identifying tracks I would want to leave for my kids to listen to after I 'go'

Currently there are 18 tracks, but a few listed in this thread could easily make the list too.

So, 8 tracks

Samuel Barber - Adagio for Strings Opus 11
Mad Caddies - Monkeys
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Lenny
Man - Bananas
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Rolling Stones - Midnight Rambler (live version)
Rory Gallagher - Bullfrog Blues (live version)
Free - All Right Now

Book: Lord of the Rings

Luxury: Guitar (or maybe a saxophone - always wanted to learn, but it's a bit noisy in a house - on a desert island, no problem

Song to keep - Adagio for strings - it lasts longer

Glawfindel, great to see Barber's Adagio for strings Opus 11 in your choice. It's also in Acapella choral form, as Agnus Dei. Stunning voices and harmonies, as in the Adagio.
Agnus Dei is always in my eight, although the other seven vary day by day.
The best version I have seen is on You Tube, by the Vlaams Radio Koor (Belgian choir I think)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRL447oDId4
Worth a watch and listen.

Dave Dee was indeed a police cadet with Wiltshire police and was one of the first on the scene at the car crash that killed Eddie Cochrane. He later recounted that he started playing the guitar using Cochrane's impounded Gretsch!

Party probably at that stage that we're going round desperately seeking dregs from Watney's Party 7s and lighting butts to get one drag but here goes:

Hurricane - Bob Dylan (keeper)
Spem in Alium - Tallis
The Chase Theme from Midnight Express
California Dreamin - Mamas and Papas
Zadok the Priest - Handel
Where Do You Go to My Lovely - Peter Sarstedt
Magnificent - Elbow
The Days of Pearly Spencer - David McWilliams

Book - Sportswriter's Eye anthology (Keating, Watkins, Millar, Engel, Barnes)
Luxury - Vino Red and White, supplied by the bucketload
