I'd like to thank whoever it was who added Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin to the list - I had not come across them before, and am thoroughly enjoying their music :D

I've updated the list on Spotify with the late arrivals

501 songs now

That should keep you all entertained for a fair few hours!

A very interesting thread; it’s taken me a long time to work my choices out. I wasn’t sure whether to pick pieces of music or first choose performers/composers and then the music. In the end it’s a mixture. In a week or two it would probably be completely different. I have already been inspired by some of the choices on here to read different authors and listen to different music.

Stabat Mater - the version I came across only recently was by Pergolesi with Les Talens Lyriques with Vivica Genaux and Sabina Puértolas.
If you like classical with voices this is wonderful.
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
Beale Street Blues - Duke Ellington and Jonny Hodges
Porgy and Bess - Miles Davis
Cream - Sittin’ On Top Of The World (live version)
John Mayall - A Hard Road (my first foray outside pop music)
The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever
Taste - Blister On The Moon

Book - Don Quixote

Luxury - La Pavoni Europiccola Coffee-Maker.

If I don’t post this now I will be changing it.

I've discovered Spotify....it now bluetooths to the car....and I can drive around the lanes of Warwickshire happy as Larry listening to an amazing eclectic mix of music...it was The Dream of Gerontius penned by a bloke called Elgar and played by a Manchester band called the Halle on the way to work this morning ...thanks to all concerned especially Martin, great work sir. I might even pay a subscription to get rid of the annoying Hyundai adverts.

Can't wait for the Songs for the Tump in the near future ;)
Here's to the nights I'll never remember with the friends I'll never forget...

I haven't worked out Spotify on the bluetooth, but apart from that I second that emulsion. Thanks Martin!
