Back to Europe...

News coming out of the press conference this afternoon that Kriel will not be registered having picked up a niggling injury. Will mean Polledri in no doubt and smart managing Jaco if we get more of the same as we did from him on Saturday for longer this season. Visagie also registered. Perhaps Grobler and Mostert on the bench?

I agree with that synopsis BigRed :

Grobler to cover lock unless JA feels as though Ed / Tom need to take a slight breather from the bench and Mostert to cover backrow with Jake, Morgs and Clarke starting : Jake will need to make a b**** nuisance of himself just as Luds and JacoK do from openside

Whatever team ackers picks I hope they don’t go kicking away possession cheaply to Exeter. They can be beaten but the whole team need to play well and hang on to the ball as much as possible.
Exe are on a losing run so it should be easy ;)

It's starting to feel as if Dreyer is to Gloucester Rugby what Nuclear Fusion is to Climate Change - always just beyond the horizon, but coming, coming very soon...

Paddy Mac has tweeted he'll be back playing very soon too. Apparently in the best shape he's been in since his early 20's.

Would be great to see Paddy back, our front row options have been rather shallow lately.

I wonder if the “Ackermann effect” will be noticeable again. Some of our players have transformed their on pitch performances in the past 1.5 seasons.

Best shape since his early 20s sounds promising.
