Team V Sharks

Seems to me to be a sensible combination of giving game time to those who need game time and rest to those who need rest. Added bonus of giving some very promising youngsters a run out and to try out a novel centre combination.

I agree that this is the type of team for this fixture. Sincerely hope they put up a good performance and come away with a win.

Spot on selection. Key players rested, some valuable game time for others and opportunity for fringe players. Suspect Sale will prove too strong but I'm looking for a robust performance from Glos.

Does highlight the need to get some more centres in - wingers everywhere 11-15!

If I were Wasps, Bristol or Bath (cold shudder) I would be wondering if relying on other teams do you a favour is not an damning indictment of how their season has gone.

If we had played a full strength side and the likes of Cipriani, Heinz or Balmain got injured I would be furious. This is the best chance the club has had in winning the title in years.

No one should be ashamed of this team; big and fast second and back rows that could cause some real problems for Sale at the breakdown; a super quick back three who love to run the ball back; a frankly quite startling centre pairing to both bash and slice defences open. We'd have been thrilled to put out so much talent a couple of years back. Hope they stick it up Sale good and proper.
