1. Chicken Shack - I'd Rather Go Blind (the Christine Perfect vocals version rather the the Stan Webb version)

2. Rory Gallagher - Bullfrog Blues (1920s song by William Harris; Canned Heat also had it in their sets, but Rory's is the definitive version)

3. Sam Cooke - A Change Is Gonna Come (became a civil rights anthem in the 60s, but it's a great song in its own right)

4. Fleetwood Mac - Shake Your Moneymaker (Elmore James song, but the Peter Green version of Mac really rocked it)

5. David Bowie - Suffragette City (what more can I say except, 'Wham! Bam! Thank you Ma'am!')

6. Free - Walk In My Shadow (a Free original from their debut album 'Tons Of Sobs, which led them to become my favourite band of all time)

7. Roy Buchanan - Roy's Bluz (Live) (virtuoso performance from the best guitarist that most people have never heard of. Big influence on Jeff Beck)

8. George Gershwin - Rhapsody In Blue (this has everything, classical, jazz, blues, all genres that inspired the music I listen to today)

Book- When Lions Roared by Tom English & Peter Burns (covers 3 months in my life when I was extremely tired; I was sitting my 'O' levels, and then doing a summer holiday job, all the time getting up at stupid o'clock in the morning to listen to the radio broadcasts and staying up to watch the recordings in midweek on Sportsnight)

Luxury - Steinway Piano; if I'm on a desert island it'll give me chance to learn Rhapsody In Blue
