Exeter v Munster

25 minutes in EXE 3 - 0 MUN

Only just 1/4 through the match, but the physicality of the carries and the defending is incredible already. The breakdown is an absolute mess, as we've come to expect recently. A very interesting match up between the two other teams in our pool.

The breakdown is dreadful with players not coming through the gate to compete for the ball, I notice its for both teams but it is making for a dull game

Big difference in level compared to the Bath v Toulouse game.

Good turnout by Munster supporters - I hope Gloucester minimise their allocation.

Very tight game so far and Garces has blown his whistle a lot so far.

Can't believe that the attempted charge-down wasn't at least a penalty/yellow for the forearm to the neck ,

That hit to the head on Steenson would have been a red card in the Premiership. Such a different interpretation of the laws that are supposedly being enforced with more vigour this season.

I hope Johan is watching Munster’s tactics in the line outs, a lot of disruption, closing the gap and jumping early, all of which M. Garces seems oblivious to.

Interesting....never seen that before. You charge down the kick, not take out the player.

But apart from that, pretty scary watching Munster make chiefs looking pretty average.

A very strange decision considering the current climate surrounding head contact in the sport. Even if it's accidental or not he does make contact wit the head which I'm sure could have been avoided. In fairness to the Munster player he is inches away from getting the charge down, but it is the waving away of the contact with the head which I'm shocked at.
