I've got a banana cake. Rich and rather gooey in the middle. I cook it less and less as the years have gone by!
Target down to 61 - would be good to wrap it all up tonight so that the weather can't make any unwelcome interruptions tomorrow (not that it is forecast)

Banana cake is always more delicious than you think it's going to be. Ie it doesn't tasteike over ripe bananas. Especially with a large dollop of vanilla cream.

Banana in general is an unsung baking gem. Always sweet and gooey but never sickly. The one pudding at school I used to enjoy was the banana sponge - remember them? Where the bananas go purple?

Don't think we did, but eaten many pineapple upside down cakes in my time.

My banana cake recipe is actually my housemaster's! Don't recall ever having had a banana sponge. Have to say that pineapple upside down cake is the only way to eat pineapples!

Yeah, Bracey did GCCC a favour and reduced his England chances with a daft splat to Mid Off trying to force things.
