Hope the ref for the final is either Owens or Berry from Aus. If it’s French it will be a disgrace

I agree , Berry should get it, but I'd be amazed if Owens doesn't do it.

Gutted for AWJ, in particular. Dreary game in terms of the quality of play - huge intensity and competition.

England should be favourites for the final. Hope Nigel Owens is given the honour to ref it in his last game.

No... they lost because they scored less points that their opponents!

Good grief...You have to admire the ability of some to COMPLETELY over-react to a comment about a ref.

The game was reffed in a way that resulted in the break-down being a complete mess, this favoured the team with a game plan that was based on slowing ball down and physically dominating their opponent. Wales didn’t respond to this (at all) and as a result they were starved of quick ball and couldn’t cross the gain line. Without an effective kicking game Wales were completely suffocated. Thus, it fair to say that the ref had a huge INFLUENCE on the game... as a side, I do think that Graces made some howlers along the way.

SR...I think your comment reveals more about your own bias / feelings towards referees!

The boys played well but the heavyweights won in the end and our injuries hit us. Now for the final. I think England can take them. Fingers crossed

Well I thought it was a pretty good anylysis of the officiating to be fair. Hope England get a better ref.

I guess the score kept the interest and tenson alive but both teams seemed to cancel each other out with their ( innacurate ) kicking game. When one team does this and the other goes through the hands then you get a far better spectacle so this sort of became a stalemate. I was surprised Wales, when this became obvious, didn't use their backline more which has some talent. I would be surprised to see either of these two do well next W/E if they stick to these game plans. However in one off finals I suppose odd things do happen. I hope for Gats and AWJ the Welsh give it a crack next W/E just to see how it goes.
I am not sure if SA have another gear. If England are fit and smart their game should be able to avoid the kickfest.
PS Yes lets hope there are no French refs next W/E.

I've just had a Welsh customer say to me "I'd rather lose today than to lose to England in the final next week"
Classic.
