That gives them 3 very good tightheads.

As long as he’s committed to us for a season and it gives us time to either find a perm replacement or persuade him to stay I don’t really mind.
This season Marais has been over used and performances are suffering, Gleave has stepped up to be fair but very light weight in a struggling pack.
Re: Rumours
Surely if we needed a hooker this summer we would have gone and found one, what purpose does buying another year bring us. A one year loan of a player who will go straight back to Sarries is fraught with risk, what if they just tread water.
Allowing Sarries to just spend a year getting out of the Championship with a reduced squad and then just taking back all their players regardless absolutely stinks. I personally will not pay to watch a player keeping up his fitness levels and international aspirations at Kingsholm for a year.

World cup winning TH to Sale on 3yr deal, we get mis-firing No2, either on 3 year deal or 1 yr loan. Massively disappointed but not surprised given our current form and realistic league position come the end of the season.
In the recent video about the Bears' new training ground, the owner highlighted the attraction of world class facilities to players like Radrada and Sinckler. Let's be optimistic and say we're treading water at the moment in that regard.
Given our large SA contingent and head coach, if we can't attract a player like Koch, in a position we are desperately short of quality in after Balmain, things are not looking too rosey.

I’m happy clappy, but all of that is hard to argue with. Massively disappointing that we lost out on both Sinckler and now Koch. As you say, it’s a position we’re desperately short of top class premiership quality in.
