The vast majority were very elderly, and/or had what we now refer to as underlying health issues. Every one of them had a story to tell, and of course, it was devastating for their family and friends. However, I'm afraid death is a reality that everyone has to face, and with this wretched virus I'm firmly in the 'keep calm and carry on' camp.

As for self-isolation...if you've ever had proper 'flu (not a bad cold or man 'flu) then you have no choice but to self-isolate as you basically can't get out of bed! By all accounts, for the vast majority of people this will in fact be less debilitating than 'flu. IMO the Beeb, Sky News and the government have got a lot to answer for as they are engendering panic.

Surely the point of that is 13,000 people died from a flu for which we have a vaccine. In this case we don't so if we just carry on as normal the potential is for the numbers to be far higher. Especially as the NHS hasn't exactly got stronger in the last decade.

But the numbers haven't got higher in other parts of the world that are further along this road...the number of deaths is actually very low so far...and China and S Korea seem to be over the worst of it.

Anyway, just my opinion...

Yes but those countries haven't done nothing. They have quarentined entire cities to stop the spread of disease.

Good luck to the man and his family.

Isiekwe to Northampton on year loan, despite ‘our interest’. Nothing else other than that apart from highlighting our abysmal record during 6N

Surprised at that one, thought he'd be one to stay with big willy little willy off to France and Kruis potentially topping up his sushi intake.
