Isiekwe to Northampton on year loan, despite ‘our interest’. Nothing else other than that apart from highlighting our abysmal record during 6N
Surprised at that one, thought he'd be one to stay with big willy little willy off to France and Kruis potentially topping up his sushi intake.
The only players who can really afford to stay at Sarries are the established internationals such as Itoje, Farrell, George and the Vunipolas as they have enough credit in the bank with regard to England to still expect to be selected regardless of where they are playing.
For the likes of Malins, Isikwe, Singleton, Earls, who are first team squad players without having fully established themselves, they can't afford a year or two out of the top flight as they will be overlooked.

The trouble is they will still be under contract and I’ve heard sarries won’t let them go unless clubs pay a massive transfer fee
Re: Rumours
Then that becomes Saracens problem im sure that paying a player who doesnt want to be there doesnt give 100% on the pitch or in training or who spends the season nursing a hard to diagnose back or hamstring problem is something they want
After all slavery is frowned upon and a good agent media consultant would have a field day spinning the non release from contract as restiction of trade following the clubs unusual and criminal failings

Tbf they probably want to be there though in the long term knowing they will still be successful when they come back up

"Criminal ??". Don't think Sarries broke any Laws of the land Caldi…...!!
Re: Rumours
The Sarries players should have had a relegation clause in their contracts. More fool them!

Re: Rumours
The nasty vindictiveness by some on here towards Saracens players is deeply unattractive and unworthy. Most of those commenting adversely seem to possess 20/20 hindsight which leads them to make statements such as suggesting Saracens players should have insisted on relegation clauses in their contracts.
Really?!
When they signed those contracts, Saracens were multiple winners and on the crest of a wave so any player asking for relegation clauses would probably have faced disbelief or even ridicule.
The suggestion keeps being put forward that Saracens players should sign permanent contracts with other GP clubs when the reality is that very few spaces exist at other GP clubs because they are already all up against the salary cap.
So
Should a GP club "shed" a loyal existing player to accommodate a Saracens star? For example, Bath dump Stooke to get Itoje or Glaws dump BTT to get Lozowski? I think we all know the answer.
Why can we not accept that Saracens have been properly punished (although taking their trophies would be a good idea too) and move on? The players were not the architects of the wrong doing and yet some on here seem to want them damned to purgatory.
Re: Rumours
The Saracens players, at the top of their pyramid, may not have been architects but were, almost certainly, accomplices.
The lack of contrition from Saracens, above all else, is appalling.

I think Staggy was saying this in jest....
