RWC19 "Stuff"
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
High tackles... discuss!
Have some sympathy with the Aussies there, tackle lower and no contact. All players need to take responsibility but it’s harsh on the ball carrier when the tackler tries to wrap round the shoulders

Balls, if someone leads with a forearm which ends up to n the throat, that's not the fault of the tackler. The 12 carries upright, Patch hits him chest high front on. Where's the poor technique?
You cannot lead with a forearm into contact. Read the directives.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
There were a couple of pens that could on another day have been yellow cards for Australia but Wales should have had one too. At the ruck before the Australian try there was a professional slap down of the ball. Wales deservedly well in front and should go on to win.......and avoid England in the quarter finals.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Hooper has a point, though. Poor tackle technique by Patchell contributed to the situation.
Incidentally, Biggar puts it about too, remember his head high tackle on Itoje, which the officials seemed to miss?
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Blimey if players stood up sre deemed to be bad tackle technique then 50% must be bad then

Fair enough, but the context here is Poite's repeated failure to follow procedure. He was dire in an earlier game with Samoa.
The poor technique is just need nonsense in the context of dangerous foul play
Hopefully we can hold the lead. Excellent first half
