Allowed but tiresome
Each to their own but I can't get why anyone other than an Australian would support Australia at anything.
Ashley- Cooper's a good egg though.

A barrel of laughs
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
I (almost) always support the Six Nations teams in World Cups but have to say I made an exception for Japan v Ireland yesterday, just love the way Japan play the game and have to say, as the host nation, I hope they also beat Scotland and top the group. Great game this morning, very pleased for Wales, they did well to hang on in there at the end. C'mon England!
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Pity there isn’t a Shield or Plate Comp like in 7’s for the bottom two teams in each group.
These guys who are often part timers put in a lot of effort.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
I don't get why when so many Irish and Welsh (and my Scottish fellow countrymen) want England to lose at anything, it's controversial (or tiresome) for someone to want the Celtic nations to lose? Isn't the idea of being a supporter that you want one team to win, and another to lose? Personally I don't have the strong feelings that some on here do about other Premiership sides, but I'm fine with their (tiresome) views.
My reasons for wanting the Celtic sides to lose, at club and country level, are purely rugby ones, and at the heart of it is the iniquitous (in my view) way that they fiddled the Heineken Cup qualification to their advantage for so long - I'm not someone who deals in easy forgiveness so I reckon I'll bear my grudge for a while longer!
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
I hold Irish citizenship and support Ireland, the only time I want England, or any other nation to lose is if they're playing Ireland otherwise good luck to them all

Ditto. Insert Wales for Ireland. Tiresome I know.

What have the competition rules of the Celtic game got to do with your feelings for the national teams? Feel the same about Italy?
Going back to when England won it, was I hopping with glee? No. Did I want Australia to win? No.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
I'm very open about my anti-Welsh bias
It's all pantomime rivalry as far as I'm concerned.
And we all know the Welsh will pretty much support whoever England are playing. I'm sure they are not alone.
I loved the Japan win - something about THIS Irish team I don't like.
But I will support Scotland - I think that's partly because we recently had a some Scots in the Glos team. But they also play some nice rugby at times and are usually the underdogs (and I do like an underdog).
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
I’ll go back to Gavin Hastings and Scottish players Wearing Australia shirts to 91 World Cup final. Not England’s fault he bottled a kick in front of posts.
