RWC19 "Stuff"
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Another lacklustre performance by England for the most part. Youngs really isn’t good enough and looks like the weak link.
That was a red card all day long and it saved England from their first proper test. Hopefully France will push them harder but now that they have pretty much qualified themselves they might send out a weaker XV.
I didn’t think England would get out of the group, although a lot of it is down to the opposition we have faced. Like the Italian props yesterday the Argentine lock has badly let down his country.
I saw the comparison between today’s stupidity and that of Piers Francis. It’s amazing what a good legal team can get you off. Both were dangerous and deserved red.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
I’m surprised how negative people are being about England’s performances so far, I feel like they are building nicely and doing what they need to do. BP’s every game and the 1st to qualify.
Today’s game was scrappy but it was always going to be tough for 50 mins or so, the Argies hate us and wouldn’t leave anything on the pitch.
The red was silly but doesn’t mean England were let off, I think the score line would have been similar if 15 stayed on.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Firstly I'm gutted that Samoa didn't win, they would have done us (Scotland) a massive favour. Anyway, we were abysmal against Ireland, so we get what we deserve. All I can hope is we pull it out of the bag.
I thought England did well today. I wouldn't be to critical of them, I know its not one of the great Argentinian sides but they are still a very good outfit. Heinz's passing is far better, but I think Young manages the ruck better. I was impressed Underhill and Curry who got through a mountain of work. I always think what could have been with Underhill, but there we go, he could have been a cherry n white but he is not.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
The constant criticism of England's most capped back on SW is hilarious. He's been in the squad for 9 years, winning 90+ caps, under three coaches and has been picked for two Lions' tours by Gatland. He's not a bad player.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
GB83 they are being negative to try and back up their nonsensical opinions. Many could post before the game as they watch games to support their narrative
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Well, I'll stick with my long-held view that England have a cracking chance of winning the RWC...three bonus point wins seems pretty good to me. I'm afraid the comparison between the Francis incident and today's red simple reflects prejudice (IMO). Eddie Jones doing all right so far,

It’s getting a bit tiresome, I think some would prefer we didn’t win so the anti jones agenda can be pushed.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Strange how both England and Argentina have left their star players out of their squads.
So far so good, but when you see how other teams backs are so fluid, Japan and NZ for starters, you wonder why our boys just do bishbashbosh.
As things look l fancy NZ v Japan final, is that even possible?
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Which of England star players did they leave at home Madders. I’d love see Japan make final but there is no chance they can beat Sa, aus, Wales, england or NZ
