RWC19 "Stuff"
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
If this effected Wales or England in the same way it has Italy or potentially Scotland, you'd all be bleating on like no tomorrow. Yes safety is paramount, but the fact you have New Zealand not wanting to move the match so they could have decent recovery, and then setting a precedent for other matches to be cancelled only leads to a tournament that has no credibility. As a Scotsman I of course want the match to go ahead, if we lose to a better side then so be it, but to be defeated by the weather at a major showpiece tournament is unheard of. For me I feel gutted for Italy and believe they should have had their chance, its fast becoming a pointless tournament with zero meaning

That claim was rubbished by WR and in any case is against the regs for pool matches.

For Scotland and Italy fans - yes. But from an English fan's perspective it's building nicely.

Put your side in the same predicament and it would be very different

We'll have to take World Rugby's word for it then, but it leaves a very sour taste in the mouth.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
The time to moan about matches being cancelled was a year or so ago when the regs were first out and then signed up to by everyone. The rule was very clear no moving , rerunning or changing of pool games. As a result everyone knew you had to get your points in early just in case. EJ was banging on about this a few months ago. Japan got their win in early against Ire, Scotland didn't. They all knew what "could happen". Of course it is a shame IF the game doesn't get played but the Scotland officials are not winning any friends with this stance.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Scotland should've beaten Ireland. Thy didn't and Japan did. Simple really.

No one wins with this, you bet your bottom dollar put the shoe on NZ, England and Wales, and this forum would look drastically different

I doubt that, as the Rules applied to everyone, it just seems Scotland want to feel hard done by. I'm surprised that Nicola Sturgeon, William Wallace, the Krankies, Jim Kerr etc haven't already organised a boycott of RWC23.

I'll wait for the comments on the ref when you get knocked out! I'll observe the forum with a wry smile
