I think it reflects fairly what is and what will happen should the typhoon be as bad as feared. That said, as much as I'd like the game to be played (particularly for Italy), as much as I think there should be a plan B and the World Rugby should be a bit embarrassed that they've not got one. I'd much rather no one lose their life from this typhoon, and so for the sake of peoples lives (which is far more important than rugby) I hope its not as bad as feared.

WR did have a plan B: The method they're using now. The reasoning was that due to short turnarounds for some Teams in Group matches, reserve dates would be unfair and so if they couldn't do it for all matches, they couldn't do it for any. Imho, a correct and fair call. KO matches are, and again imho , correctly, are treated differently due to a longer turnaround period. NOTE: There was an earlier Typhoon ( Faxai ) that hit after the start of the RWC but it was a small one unlike this one ( Hagibis ) who's size is bigger than the whole of Japan. That in itself is unusual, at the tail end of the Tropical storm Season. This link shows you the size difference: https://www.windy.com/articles/hagibis- ... ,148.535,4

I don't agree with you, and that's fine. Like I said, I'd much rather cancel a match than people lose their lives.

I felt sorry for Scotland's situation until the threat of legal action. Now I want them out as quick as possible - and I don't care how that happens.

I'm sorry to labour the point, but how can't you agree with factual info?

They've not threatened legal action, its just a headline grabber. Listen to the interview, they took advice from legal services not sure what the problem is with that, can't blame them for wanting to find out how they can make the match happen. I very much doubt, that if the game gets cancelled there will be anything other than disappointment. I think the focus will be safety. There is probably a lot of politics taking place right now

Its about interpretation, World Rugby have a specific interpretation which leads them to a specific decision. Scotland has a different. The one that matters and can only make a difference is world rugby, with that I agree with. As I said, safety is paramount, and I'd much rather a game get cancelled than their be loss of life

You can't have differing Interpretations of the Tournament Rules. Laws yes, Rules no. All Governing bodies signed up to them. As for game cancelled v Lives lost? I'm with you on that and hopefully all will be safe. It's currently 0935hrs in Japan and landfall time for Hagibis is early evening.

One person already dead, 500,000 people evacuated, thousands of homes likely to be destroyed, 10,000 homes already without power. The equivalent of a force 3 hurricane about to hit a city of 10m people. The worst storm since 1958 when 1800 people list their lives. And we're discussing whether it's right a game should be called off or whether it's really even a typhoon at all. Sometimes....
