Good selection from Eddie for me. I recall back in 03 Sir Clive making a similar call to bring Catt in at 12 and bench Tindall. Worked well then and hopefully EJ has it spot on.

Agree. Nice to be in a position to have the options to make these calls

A little confused by this selection. Farrell hasn't been at his best during the world cup. I think England's recent improvements have been with Ford playing.

I think EJ is looking back to the last time we beat OZ and it was with a similar line up. We are on paper a stronger 15 this time round with Twigi in for Te'o and Watson in for Cocka. Up front Mako in for Moon, Billy in for Shields and Curry in for Wilson.

Australia will cause problems and have looked dangerous in spells. There big ball carrier is Kerevi. Surprising inclusion at 13 tho

Can't have much else to do..

It's a risky pick indeed. Just ask Matthew Tait!

If England can live with keeping Hooper and Pocock quiet, they should do OK. Australia are bruised by the loss to Wales.
My issue with seeing Farrell at 10 is, does he have a plan B up his sleeve should England be struggling or loosing by a small margin. If loosing by a bigger margin, I don't think Australia will relinquish the lead. I wish England well and hope they play to their potential of being one of the favourites

Matt Toomua on Leicester's England players :

“I know all of their weaknesses‚“ he joked. “I can list them now for you if you want: Manu Tuilagi is a terrible snooker player, George Ford never pays for a beer, Ben Youngs isn’t even the best rugby player in his own family, Jonny May is very weird, and Dan Cole doesn’t have a personality.”
