I partially agree, for my part I believe they're both red cards

I was being very generous Sticki, if they are serious about looking after player welfare, then both should be red. How else are they going to learn. The studio guys all said both reds

Absolute world of contrast to the Kalamafoni tackle, he waited for the tackler, made every effort to wrap his arms and also flexed his knees and back to get low. Essentially he was in control and the refs got the call spot on

The two Samoan ones were dangerous, reckless and damn right stupid
Perfect opportunity for Poite and the TMO to strike a definitive line under that sort of play, and they utterly bottled it

The wider question I have is when are these people going to be held accountable for dealing with player welfare? Clearly players themselves have the ultimate responsibility but refs and TMOs have to start dealing with it.
Samoa will win this comfortably now when they should be down to 13 and likely to lose

Then you look at the sanction applied by another French referee on DC in Limerick...makes it look even more ridiculous. As a fan all I want are the laws and sanctions applied consistently....I don't really care if it's one way or the other just apply it consistently please.

This..... totally this. I've asked the question before but who ref's the ref's..? At what point are they held accountable for their (in)actions...?

anybody got a link to a video showing the tackles, the official match summary on the RWC site just ignores the whole thing.

Highlights on ITV4 at 7. They will be showing the tackles.
