Agree. But to think, even with this complete performance Itoje, Curry and Underhill still stood out
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
I would be interested to see a full explanation as tot he Underhill non try. clearly we can see the case for the offside as the player has a contact in front of the ball carrier. However the tackler was in no way able to affect the ongoing play as he had decided to initiate the contact in the opposite direction. Since forward running dummy runners are involved in about 50% of all backline moves now does this mean that all a defending team have to do is taclkle any player in fron of the ball? If so it is going to have a big affect on backline moves.
I am genuinely interested to know th eproper ruling on this . Thankfully it was academic tot he match BUT that is not the point . These calls are important.
The second non try seems to have differing opinions. and I am unsure how the TMO can know who's hand was on the ball. Surely if you can't see it has gone forward with no hand touching the ball then it can't be illegal. Again I am happy to be shown the correct ruling on this .

And George (apart from the throw for the try) he was everywhere and beat 2 or 3 men everytime and tuilaigi. His carrying everyone knows about but some of his defence was incredible twice he looked like he had been done completely for pace and he managed to get back with a full length dive to bring the man down
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Youngs was poor, sorry, other rugby forums agree, if you watch again his passing is slow and inaccurate, we were turned over due to his constant delay, forwards constantly have to change their lines, stop, start etc for crash balls because he is not on the money. Just watch the match again.
Itoje, Curry, underhill and manu just phenomenal.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Sorry I disagree. I think the fact that youngs snipes around the fringes actually stops sides flying up on us like we do to them. He is a real threat
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Your opinion, no issues with that. He snipes far far less than he used to and is just ridiculously slow everywhere. One, two, sometimes three steps before passing. I’ve even discussed the same with our new 9 mr. Simpson when he spent an afternoon helping me coach the u12’s. That’s my opinion anyway. Single weakest link in that English team for a few years now. Would have far rather Dan Robson been spared his DVT and he’d been first choice.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Again, just another opinion....best part of 100 caps for England by 3 different coaches (mainly as starter in the last 9 years), selected for 2 Lions tours, 250 odd Premiership appearances says he's a decent player. If Heinz wasn't at Glos I reckon we'd see a lot less criticism of Youngs.
He does snipe less than he used to but technically he's every bit as good as those that he's compared to and better than many. He takes the right options - even under pressure, seems like a good squad member and is usually available. It's not difficult to see why he's been favoured by almost every coach who has the option of picking him.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Well done EJ, completely outcoaching Hanson today. I felt the NZ change in the forwards was a sign they were concerned about England and so it proved. Itoje was absolutely awesome and rightly MOM (are we allowed to use that term in these politically correct times?)
If you really want to have a dig at Youngs I suggest you look at his box kicking which was not of the same standard as Willi's.....but then I remember all those Shedwebers who used to slam Box kick Willi!

Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
It pains me to say it, as a Scotsman as I've another 4 years of pain to be had. However, that was the best England performance I've seen from England ever. They totally dominated and bar the line out error the All Blacks never looked like scoring. England always had the potential, but what I witnessed today was outstanding. Congratulations to you
