RWC19 "Stuff"
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Right then Baylion, it down to you and me now. I think kicking boots on and a kicking competition at dawn to sort out the second semi.…….…. do you feel confident

Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
Some of the views on here baffle me: Youngs was pretty good, and (despite me not being a fan of Owens nowadays) I thought he had a good game, and used the TMO well for the two disallowed tries.
I have to now decide whether to lay off my three bets on England, or let them ride. I have felt for a while, and said it often enough, this NZ side isn't the force it was, and I think everyone in England owes EJ a big vote of thanks, irrespective of how the final goes. The matches against the Wallabies and the ABs have been tactical masterclasses.
Beddis, didn't you want him sacked?
My recollection is that you, and in fairness others, said some pretty unpleasant things about him. Whatever happens next weekend, he is a world-class coach, and has proved it.

If Heinz wasn't at Glos I reckon we'd see a lot less criticism of Youngs.
He does snipe less than he used to but technically he's every bit as good as those that he's compared to and better than many. He takes the right options - even under pressure, seems like a good squad member and is usually available. It's not difficult to see why he's been favoured by almost every coach who has the option of picking him.
Absolutely spot on.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
can see Youngs playing 80 minutes next week if WH is injured and they dont want Ford stepping in at 9

Yeah care or wigglesworth I would have thought.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
I never wanted EJ sacked, but I did question many of his selections and the apparent lack of a plan B on the field.
I did say originally that England would not get out of the pool stage and revised it to 'might' get out.
My humble pie is huge and very tasty, because having got out of the pool, the dismantling and destruction of the Wallabies & AB's, was some of the best rugby I have ever seen by England. The only issue today was the throw to the back of the line out giving the AB's a try. A throw to the back gives the opposition time to react esp at the 5m line. Despite this, every English player acquitted himself above and beyond. They all put their bodies on the line and played line it was the last ever game to be played - nothing was left, it was all on the pitch. Nobody had the energy to run around waving their arms - and that is how it should be. Pride in the shirt...... Then there was the 25 - 9.........

Makes sense. I'd have had him in the original squad (as one of 3 nines). Hopefully Willie will make it - gutting to miss the last step.
Re: RWC19 "Stuff"
As a Scotsman I am completely baffled by the negative comments as regards certain players as opposed to celebrating your fine win.
Get over yourselves FGS.
